After a difficult week for local football Kevin Deery had Derry Captain Ryan McBride in the forefront of his mind during Saturdays 5-1 defeat of local rivals Dergview.
“I remember telling the lads a few weeks ago after the Loughgall game that we need to keep performing well and we have.
We proved we can score goals, that’s 11 goals in 3 games now.
Saturday was really special because we scored 5 goals for a very special number 5 who I had the great honour of knowing really well and playing with. It was a devastating week for myself and everyone who knew Ryan, he was a real gem of a man RIP Ryan dearly missed by all #5”.
