Under 20’s Cruise Into Semi Final

Great victory in a very physical game. We played some excellent football at times and if it wasn’t for a great performance from the Irish Street keeperm it would have been a lot more.

After a great run from Reece Kincaid he set up Ryan Doran for a cool finish under pressure from the defender to make it 1-0.

Then soon after a great bit a wing play from Doran set up the impressive Liam Clarke to nip in and slot the ball past the keeper to make it 2-0.

10 mins later the goal of the game and worthy of a slot on soccer am, Conor Mc Court who had a very good game, received the ball with 3 men around him and showed a great piece of skill to flick the ball between the defenders to Adam Dougherty. Adam then played a lovely 1st time ball back to Mc Court who cooley slid the ball into the net for a very composed finish.

Half time Stute 3-0 Irish Street

A sloppy start by Stute kicking off the 2nd half gave the ball to Irish St who played a nice through balll to there wide man who had a great finish by dinking the ball past Muldoon and into the net.

The youthful Stute took control and dominated the rest of the half creating chances at will and a string of superb saves by the keeper kept the score at 3-1 until Callum Moorehea, who was making his return from a long spell injured, came on and took a great pass in his stride and showed everyone what he was about with a great finish from the edge of the box into the far bottom corner to make it 4-1

! was very pleased with the attitude and the will to play on a difficult surface from such a young team.
