Institute supporter Brian Campbell has found a unique way of burning off those extra Christmas calories and raising funds for a great cause at the same time. (www.saunterforautism.com)
Londonderry man Brian is walking from Institute’s Riverside ground in Drumahoe to Limavady United’s Showgrounds stadium on Saturday 29 December, to raise funds for Circle of Support.
Circle of Support are a group set up to support families of children who are affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder.
COS aim to provide a network of support for families and to raise Autism awareness in the Derry area. COS provide training courses for parents and organises family outings and group activities.
Brian, whose son Jack suffers from autism, will be raising funds for this worthy cause by walking the 20 mile trip from Drumahoe to Limavady before his beloved Institute’s big derby match with their arch-rivals Limavady United on the Saturday after Christmas.
Six year-old Jack is a member of Circle of Support and attends the ASD unit at the Model Primary School.
