Last Saturday played host to yet another round of matches for this season’s Northern Irish Premier League as Drumahoe outlet, Institute FC, made the short journey to Portadown.

Facing off against Ronnie McFall’s Portadown side is a difficult task on every occasion, but playing away from home added extra doubt to Stute’s chances.

Paul Kee’s men went into the game on the back of a 4-0 loss versus rivals Coleraine the week before, and moral may have remained low following this result.

As such, the Londonderry team were unable to prevent the Ports from recording another heavy win against them, the final scoreline finishing 4-1 to the home side.

Portadown took the lead through Darren Murray, however Declan McKeever managed to squeeze home an equaliser, but this was soon ruled out with a finish from Gary Twigg, before Chris Casement and Keith O’Hara concluded the result.
