The club would like to confirm the retirement of Stephen Parkhouse after a long career in Northern Irish football.
Stephen’s decision brings an end to a much-travelled career which included spells with Manchester City, Glentoran, Finn Harps, Limavady United, Derry City, Sligo Rovers and Institute. Playing a role in our Irish Championship victory last season, scoring eight goals, we would like to thank ‘Parky’ for his contribution to this club over the years.
Announcing an end to his playing career, Parkhouse stated: “I’ve decided to retire from senior football due to niggly injuries and because I don’t feel that I can perform to a level that I’d be happy with anymore.” “It’s a very strange feeling, and I’d like to wish Institute F.C. all the best in the Premiership next season, and to all the staff and players I’ve worked with in my career, it’s been an absolute pleasure.”
