Warrenpoint visited the Riverside stadium this afternoon in order to face-off against Paul Kee’s Institute, who have been flying high in the NIFL Premiership so far this season.

In a close-fought encounter, Institute edged the play in the opening phase, and on 41 minutes talisman Stephen O’Flynn knocked the home team into the lead with a header, after connecting well with Man of the Match Declan McKeever’s pinpoint cross.

The Sky Blues created a series of promising chances throughout the second half, and threatened the Warrenpoint goal on a number of occasions, Aaron Walsh twice coming close to increasing the scoreline for his team.

After 5 home games on the trot, Institute now travel to current league leaders Ballymena United in a tie that will test Stute’s Premiership credentials further after their dream start to the season.
