The first team recorded a superb 2-0 victory over rivals Coleraine tonight in the County Londonderry derby at the Riverside – two exceptional strikes from Stephen Curry and Darren McCauley ensuring the win for the home team.
Breaking the stalemate in the second-half with the necessary attacking flair, while remaining consistently solid at the back throughout the match thanks to the workload of Paddy McLaughlin, Mark Scoltock and Graham Crown – Paul Kee’s men put in a great team performance this evening, which proved essential in ensuring the win.
Another positive note in relation to this tie was the turnout – the stands at all ends were packed with supporters from both Institute and Coleraine, and the club committee would like to thank everyone who attended the game tonight.
