The Sky Blues lost to Ballinamallard United at the Riverside Stadium last night in the third round of the League Cup.
Paul Kee made a series of changes to his line-up following Saturday’s harrowing defeat at home to Portadown, but the new additions did little to combat the recent blip in form.
The Ducks grabbed a 2-0 win after firstly Anthony Elding converted a penalty early on, before striker Ryan Campbell found a good finish in the 49th minute, firing into the bottom, left corner from outside the box.
Next up for Institute, the Drumahoe outfit face Linfield at Windsor Park on Monday, before playing Warrenpoint the following Friday.
