Loughgall v Institute: Saturday 9th December – 2.00pm KO

Following a run of nine league games without defeat, Stute are on the road again this Saturday with the second of two back-to-back fixtures against Loughgall. Whilst it might be understandable to expect Loughgall to be feeling a bit low after last weeks defeat, we will not be underestimating their desire to turn the tables this week at Lakeview Park. However, with six clean sheets from our last nine fixtures we are showing a dogged determination and resilience that is so important at this level.

Whilst we are well known for our free flowing and attractive football, there are times when either bad weather, poor pitch conditions, player suspensions or injury, can determine that some victories are more a consequence of exceptional team spirit and a burning desire to win than the intricacies of technical ability or tactical wisdom.
Given the difficulties surrounding the Riverside Stadium, and with the season approaching the half way mark, it must be clear to everyone that our coaches and players are capable of adjusting to the demands of any situation. There is still a long way to go but the signs are promising and the players are very together and supportive of one another. So let’s get behind them in whatever way we can.

Although there will be no team/supporters bus travelling to Loughgall this week we hope that any of our supporters who wish to go to the match can make alternative arrangements either with a group of friends or via the WhatsApp chat group (Stute Car Pool).
