An injury time goal by captain Paddy McLaughlin was enough to secure a point and retain our unbeaten league record. Bangor took the lead against the run of play in the 10th minute when a cross to the back post was not dealt with and Boyle tapped home. With neither side creating much- it stayed 1-0 until half time. A rejuvenated ‘Stute side came out all guns blazing in the second- with Mcfadden equalizing minutes after Parkhouse missed a penalty. With ‘Stute pressing for a winner- Bangor caught the home side napping and Boylan side footed home with 10 minutes remaining to give the seasiders a 2-1 lead. ‘Stute then fired everything they possibly could at Bangor, and with seconds remaining in injury time, Hume broke down the right, crossed to McLaughlin and the centre half cooly slotted home to give ‘Stute a well deserved point.
