Institute 4-2 Donegal Celtic

Institute secured all 3 points from a fractious 4-2 win over Donegal Celtic today to move to within a point of leaders Dundela. Henderson gave Stute an early lead before Hughes equalised for the visitors with a looping header. It looked like being level at the break until Crossan scored with a header of his own moments before the whistle blew.
McCrudden made his return from injury as a second half substitute and immediately changed the game. Three great chances went begging before McCauley was hauled down in the box. Donegal Celtic were reduced to 10 men and McCrudden stepped up to score.
The West Belfast outfit immediately scored from a penalty of their own, but their manager was incensed that the Stute defender wasn’t also sent off and was sent to the stands. As time ran out, McCrudden secured the victory with a neat near-post finish.
