‘Stute travelled to Wilgar Park in a table-topping game. The match was end to end until the 26th minute when Halliday who was winning everything for Dundela collected a long ball from the defence to cross it for McCombe to score from close in. The home defence then made the cardinal error when they failed to properly clear a corner for McCrudden to level the scores. Dundela pressed hard for a second and were almost rewarded when a Halliday volley was brilliantly turned for a corner by ‘Stute stopper Doherty. From the resulting corner a header from Owens was headed off the line by young Ryan Varma. The second half again was end to end with Dundela looking the more likely to score. Then on 67 minutes goal scorer McCrudden was red carded for a late tackle on Scott. Dundela manager Snodden immediately went three at the back and Dundela pressed hard for a winner which they almost had on 79 minutes when Owens headed an Irwin corner onto the underside of the cross-bar only to see it cleared off the line.
