Institute capitulated to local rivals Coleraine on Saturday by going down 4-0 thanks to a hat-trick by Mark Miskimmin.
It was ‘Stute old boy David Ogilby who put the Bannsiders ahead, in rather fortunate circumstances, when a headed clearance by Scoltock came off Ogilby’s head and went past the helpless Ferry. Half time Colerine 1-0 Institute.
The second half continued much like the first with the home side in complete control. Miskimmin got his first goal of the afternoon after good work by McGinty down the right hand wing, who crossed for Miskimmin to tap in to the net.
The Bannsiders soon added a third after a sloppy cross field pass from Declan McKeever went straight to Ian Parkhill who again found the unmarked Miskimmon who made no mistake from 6 yards to make it 3-0.
‘Stute recorded there first shot on target in the 87th minute through Stephen O’Donnell, but the alert Doherty got down to save well.
It went from bad to worse for the Drumahoe men, when in the 90th minute, Scoltock stupidly got himself sent off for a last minute challenge on Parkhill, thus receiving himself a red card and the Bannsiders a penalty. Miskimmin stepped up to notch his hat-trick.
